Guilty Verdicts in Three Oklahoma County Criminal Trials

OKLAHOMA CITY – This week, the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office received guilty verdicts in three criminal trials.

On August 27, 2024, after a one-day trial, a jury found Christopher Geesey, 32, guilty of five counts involving inappropriate sexual acts with a family member’s toddler. Geesey was charged in March with the following counts:

  • #1: Indecent or Lewd Acts with a Child Under the Age of 16
  • #2: Manufacturing Child Pornography
  • #3: Aggravated Possession of Obscene Material Involving the Participation of a Minor Under the Age of 18
  • #4: Rape in the First Degree by Instrumentation
  • #5: Forcible Oral Sodomy

The jury recommended sentences of Life for count #1, 20 years for count #2, Life for count #3, Life without Parole for count #4 and 20 years for count #5 all to be served in the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. The jury also recommended Geesey pay a $45,000 fine. Formal sentencing is set for October 15, 2024.

On August 29, 2024, a jury returned a verdict in the case against Darrell Thompson, 43. Thompson was charged in April 2024 after police learned he was having inappropriate sexual contact with a female family member. He was charged with the following counts:

  • #1: Sexual Abuse of a Child
  • #2: Rape in the First Degree by Instrumentation
  • #3: Indecent or Lewd Acts with a Child Under the Age of 16
  • #4: Indecent or Lewd Acts with a Child Under the Age of 16

The jury found Thompson guilty of the four counts against him. They recommended a sentence of 25 years for count #1, five years for count #2, 25 years for count #3 and 25 years for count #4 to be served in the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. Formal sentencing will be scheduled at a later date. A jury also heard the case against Quinton Pace, 40. In May 2021, Pace was charged with the following counts:

  • #1: Shooting with Intent to Kill
  • #2: Shooting with Intent to Kill
  • #3: Assault and Battery with a Deadly Weapon
  • #4: Threatening an Act of Violence

The jury found Pace guilty of counts #1, #3 and #4. They returned a not guilty verdict on count #2. They recommended a sentence of 20 years on count #1, 10 years on count #3 and five years on count #4 all to be served in the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. Formal sentencing will take place on October 4, 2024.
