OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma County District Attorney Vicki Zemp Behenna announces Dusty Kitchko, 42, was convicted by an Oklahoma County jury of multiple counts related to the child sexual abuse of a family member. Kitchko was charged in October 2023 with two counts of Lewd Acts with a Child Under the age of 16, two counts of Forcible Oral Sodomy and one count each of Rape in the First Degree and Pattern of Criminal Offenses.
The charges were filed after an investigation by the Edmond Police Department with assistance from the St. George, Utah Police Department. The mother of the sexually abused child called Edmond police after her son disclosed to counselors at the Eagle Ranch Academy, located in Utah, that he was physically and sexually abused by his former stepfather.
Edmond detectives worked with the St. George Police Department to set up a forensic interview of the victim. He disclosed that between 2015 and 2019 there were multiple incidents of sexual abuse including touching, forcible oral sodomy and rape. The incidents occurred during a trip to Lake Texoma and at the Edmond home Kitchko shared with the victim’s mother.
The jury deliberated and yesterday returned a verdict of guilty on all counts. They recommended the Court sentence Kitchko to 25 years, 5 years, 2 years, 25 years, 2 yearsand 2 years to be served in the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. Formal sentencing is set for May 29, 2025.
DA Behenna would like to thank the jury for their time and thoughtful consideration during the trial, as well as the police who investigated this case and the prosecutors who prepared the case for trial.
