FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

June 5, 2026

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma County District Attorney Vicki Zemp Behenna filed murder charges against two men involved in the Arcadia Lake Shooting and Accessory to a Felony against a third man.

Jaylan Davis, 18, and Daviion Wyckoff, 21, are both charged with Murder in the First Degree for their involvement in the shooting that resulted in the death of 18-year-old Avianna Smith-Gray who passed on May 5, 2026. Additionally, Breonn Morton, 23, is facing one count of Accessory to a Felony – Murder in the First Degree.

“My office has filed charges to hold those responsible accountable for the devastating violence that occurred at Lake Arcadia,” said DA Behenna. “What should have been a gathering of young people ended in tragedy because firearms were brought into a situation where they never should have been. Avianna lost her life and our community continues to feel the effects. These charges are an important step toward justice.”

Gunfire broke out around 9 p.m. on May 3, 2026, during a party at scissortail Campgrounds at Lake Arcadia. A total of 24 people were injured as a result of the gunfire; their ages ranging from 15-28. Police collected approximately 80 spent casings at the crime scene, witnesses and victims were interviewed, and social media accounts were reviewed, which led police to make the arrests and the DA’s Office to charge Davis, Wyckoff and Morton.“Today’s charges mark an important step toward accountability and justice for the victims and their families,” said Edmond Police Chief J.D. Younger. “We are grateful for the tireless work of Edmond Police Department members and our municipal, county, state, and federal law enforcement partners. Together, we remain committed to pursuing everyone responsible for this tragic act of violence.”

DA Behenna added, “We are grateful to the Edmond Police Department and its detectives for their diligent work, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation for their timely laboratory analysis, as well as our prosecution team. The hard work, professionalism, and commitment by all involved to move this case forward without unnecessary delay have helped bring us to this point.“
