FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- April 11, 2023
OKLAHOMA CITY – Today, the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office filed two felony Animal Cruelty charges each against two juveniles accused of abusing dogs in the Deer Creek area earlier this month. Both boys were arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Juvenile Detention Center. Due to the fact the boys are juveniles, their names and ages will not be released.
The dogs were removed from the residence and are said to be doing okay.
The Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Department, Oklahoma City Police Department and Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation into these allegations.
** Criminal charges are based on probable cause to believe a person has committed a crime. All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
