JONES – Today, District One County Commissioner Carrie Blumert toured the recently opened Jones Public Schools Early Childhood Center.  The Early Childhood Center, which opened in November of 2022, was approved by district voters in an October 2019 Bond Election.  The new facility is a 40,000-square-foot extension of the existing elementary school and serves 220 students in Pre-K thru 1st grade.  In addition to the new classroom space, the building serves as the new primary entryway, houses ...

Oklahoma County – Yesterday, the Oklahoma County Board of Commissioners voted to reserve $3 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding for use in two county-wide projects. The first of these projects includes $1 million in funding to be used for the relocation of Griffin Memorial Hospital from Norman to Oklahoma City. In addition to the county funds, ARPA allocations from the state and Oklahoma City would be used for the move.
