OKLAHOMA COUNTY MAN CONVICTED OF SECOND DEGREE MURDER

FOR IMMEDIATE RELASE

September 13, 2024

OKLAHOMA CITY – This week, an Oklahoma County jury found Juanterra Givens guilty of Murder in the Second Degree. Givens was charged for the September 2023 murder of Christopher Price, 25. Price was at the Oxford Inn in the 5300 block of Lincoln Blvd. when he was shot once in the back. He was transported to the hospital where he died. Givens left the scene after the shooting. He was arrested three days later by Oklahoma City Police and the U.S. Marshals.

During their investigation, Oklahoma City police learned that an altercation broke out between Givens and another man on the second-floor landing of the hotel. Givens pulled out a gun and fired it. Price was not involved in the original altercation on the balcony.

The jury recommended a sentence of 10 years in prison. The Court will formally sentence Givens on October 18, 2024.

District Attorney Vicki Zemp Behenna would like to extend her appreciation to the jury for their thoughtful consideration of the case presented to them, the detectives that investigated Mr. Price’s death, and the Assistant District Attorneys who prepared the case for prosecution.
